Bru Na bhFiann

Residential Home for Retired Irish Servicemen and Servicewomen

Bru na BhFianna is a residential home for retired Irish national servicemen and servicewomen in Dublin, Ireland.
The home was built in 1994 at a cost of IR1 million. This was funded by the Organisation of National Ex-Servicemen and Women (ONE)and a Government grant through the European Union.

What We Do
We provide affordable accommodation for homeless ex national servicemen and women.
Since opening our doors, we have provided long and short term accommodation for over 360 people. During their stay with us, we help our residents find employment and private accommodation as appropriate.
Leaving the structure of life in the armed forces to return to civilian life can be an unsettling time, and we guide all our residents through this transition using our knowledge and experience of life "on both sides of the fence".
We currently have 20 residents, each with their own room, charing a communal kitchen, bathroom, leisure and recreational facilities.
We also offer a drop-in facility for non-residents who are ex memebers of the armed forces. We offer advice on employment, social welfare, accommodation, benevolent funds and also provide a place where ex-serivcemen can "keep in touch".
